Ames aces the 15th, Singh leads Langer in final round of Senior PGA

Senior PGA Championship leaderboard http://www.pga.com/seniorpga/scoring/leaderboard

Stephen Ames is having a breakout season on the Champions Tour with his win at the Mitsubishi Electric Championship and 4 top 10 finishes, yesterday he added a second hole in one to the resume, a six iron on the par 3 15th on  his way to a -4 68, T15 going into today's final round at the Senior PGA Championship on the Trump National in Washington DC.

The leader is the ageless Vijay Singh with rounds of 66 68 67 -15 putting with what he calls a modified claw putting grip that kind of let him down, missing three birdie putts inside 10 feet and a tiddler for par that may prove costly come 6pm tonight.

He is in this event for the first time, and is using his field leading length ( 292yd average) to power his way around this soft course adjacent to the Potomac river. His 67 has him just a shot up on guess who, yes the relentless Bernhard Langer who was outdriven by Singh all day, but used all his resources to shoot 70 -14 total to set up today's marquee match up at 1.40pm EST.
