It's short shirt sleeve weather at Hoylake today, no rain so far, warm, and devoid of wind.
Rory tees off with his buddy and now neighbor in Florida, Rickie Fowler at 940am est . They have played together many times through the years back to Walker Cup matches. but this time Ricky spots Rory 6 shots, the rest of the field even more..
This championship many feel is a done deal, but I will watch the first 6 or 7 holes closely to see how it goes in honour of all those before who have squandered big leads and there have been too many to mention, hall of famers among them...
Remember Rory has had a bad round out of the four a lot recently, just because he has gotten by his Friday problems, it doesn't mean they won't come back on, say Sunday
The young guns in closest pursuit, Ricky, Sergio, Matteo, Dustin etal have nothing to lose and will be flag hunting... all the pressure is on Rory.
If he wins it will be expected, if he loses.... well let's not go there, for the sake of the young man... and indeed the game of golf..
