Teenager Blades Brown flirts with 59 to lead American Express.. 36 hole results

An 18 year old from Nashville, Tenn., called Blades (great golf name) Brown is making news on the PGA Tour. The young phenom turned pro at 17 while still in high school and made the Korn Ferry Tour.

He is in the field at this American Express on a sponsors exemption and has posted 67 60, just missing a 6 footer on his final hole on Nicklaus Tournament course for a 59. 

As expected Scott Scheffler is T1 with Blades, shooting 63 64 -17 on what he calls the "easiest scoring event" of the year, with the pros playing 3 California resort courses, La Quinta, Pete Dye Stadium course, and the Nicklaus Tournament Course.

The cut will be made after 54 holes for the top 65 and ties.
